Polarizing organic photovoltaics

One of the major design flaws of LCD displays is the low efficiency of the backlight. As a result, up to 75% of the light passing through the rub polarizers indicator. To solve this problem, engineers from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, University of California have created a new type of organic photovoltaic polarizers, which in the process is converted into electricity, most of the light rays from both the exterior and from the interior lighting (illumination).
